Understanding the problem space
During the early pipeline development, the Sales and Operations departments managed negotiations through a shared collaborative spreadsheet. Numerous manual tasks hampered the process of responding quickly to customers or vendors.

We were challenged to
Business goals
To optimize negotiation efficiency, we developed an automated management tool based on these core principles:
Accelerate deal closure
Automate repetitive tasks to complete negotiations within hours instead of days.
Focus on good deals
Allow ops to work independently and in whatever way works for them, avoiding the need for engineering support.
Enhance Communication Flow
Help the benefits ops and sales teams refocus their energy on more urgent matters and towards the goals defined.
Problem Statement
Vehicle trade transactions involve lengthy price negotiations and extensive back-and-forth communications between stakeholders, making the process slow, unscalable, and cumbersome.
How might we streamline the negotiation process to reduce its duration and friction?
Final design solution
After numerous iterations and design critiques with the operations and business teams, we were able to leverage the design system components and achieve an experience that was efficient and clear for our colleagues. Working closely with engineering and management, we agreed on the approach and the component's priority, resulting in an efficient feature implementation.

Outcomes
Impact and Insights
We achieved significant operational improvements through continuous iteration and close collaboration with the Operations and Sales teams.
Reduced the time-per-negotiation per vehicles negotiation from 3 day to 4 hours loop, with space for improving the efficiency of negotiation.
Critically, the automization give us speed and clearance due to the definion of rules to sell the vehicle, operations gained independence from business developement for simple ands smal deals .
Abstraction of the counter-offers flow of a negotiation in remote workshop .
